Day 3


  • The students began the writing process and spent ten minutes drafting an opening paragraph. After ten minutes, the students shared their paragraphs with the rest of the class. We made suggestions for enhancing their work. Changes were made to the paragraph with a marker, so that the student could compare the differences between the original work and the peer edited work.

  • Homework - Think of how the beginning of the story can "bridge" to the next event in the sequence. The word bridge is a synonym for transition.....
